Wiikey’s Best Friends! RegionFrii and Wii Brick Blocker

I recently soldered in a wiikey into my USA NTSC Nintendo Wii, It works great with my wii, gamecube, and N64/SNES emulator “back ups” but i ran into some issues, such as some of my backups wouldn’t play i was thinking it could have been region compatibility issues. At that time i was very scared to update the wii because i read about certain “out of region” games updating and bricking wii’s. But everything would be ok just as long as the game that requested a update was not a “OUT OF REGION” game such as Super Paper Mario PAL version. I did some more research and found out that there is a way around this issue. There is a few programs that can remove the update from the game all together and also changing the region of a backed up .iso file. RegionFrii is all you need if you would like to convert your “backed up” wii game .iso to another region that would be compatible with the current region wii that you own. In other words Patches Wii ISOs in an attempt to make them playable on foreign region consoles. Wii Brick Blocker is another great software that allows any unwanted automatic update for a wii game that requests a update when inserting a disk and attempting to play the “back up”. These 2 softwares are a MUST HAVE for the new wiikey owners out there.
