MAC OSX LEOPARD RELEASE DATE CONFIRMED

The latest update to Apple’s OS, Leopard, has officially been given a release date of October 26th (after a four-month delay thought to have been caused by the launch of the iPhone).
Leopard is the sixth version of the Mac OS to appear since OS X made its debut in 2001.
Apple are touting more than 300 new features including new “finder” and “Quicklook” tools, system restoring options with “Time Machine”, and “Bootcamp”, which enables Mac users to run Windows on Apple their machine.
“Leopard, the sixth major release of Mac OS X, is the best upgrade we’ve ever released,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “And everyone gets the ‘Ultimate’ version, packed with all the new innovative features, for just $129.”
In the UK the price for a single version of the new software will cost £85 ($129). A family pack, which can be installed on up to five computers, will cost £129 ($199).
